Adding collaborators and managing permissions
š”If you’re a guide or agency, you can create copies of your trip templates and then assign your clients as Editor on the trip. See the images below to understand how this affects their access to the trip.
From the trip, click the settings button at the top and then select Manage collaborators:
This opens a panel where you can Invite a collaborator by email address:
Once you add the user by email, they default to the role editor:
TheĀ editorĀ andĀ viewer do not allow adding more days and they do not allow accessing theĀ storiesĀ feature.Ā
Only the owner can access the Manage trip dialog. If you are a guide or agency, you can tweak the trip workspace for your clients and prevent them from making additional copies of the trip, adding/removing days, or modifying the story (though each copy of the trip has its own story).
š” If you are adding users to your trip, then you should set them as editor or viewer.
If you are making copies of your trip for other users, then you should set them as owner or editor.
You must give other users owner rights to allow them to edit stories.
Additionally, you can make as many copies of a trip as you need. If you have multiple groups, you can copy an existing trip and assign new collaborators/travelers:
Viewers have even more restricted permission and cannot edit any aspect of the trip.
