Improved Sorting by Time of Day, Faster Access to Place Actions, and Higher Visibility for Media in Stories!

  • [Feature] Added faster access to setting the time of day when turned on for the trip (thanks u/nickilolk !). When clicking or tapping on the time of day icon on the place, it will have much faster access to set the time of day. Now you can also sort the timeline by time of day instead (this is not a trip-level, device-level setting so it maintains state for your device and your own view; it does not affect other travelers on your trip).
  • [Improved] Completely re-organized the user trips and Discover views to be more consistent and cleaner! There are also filters now for both so you can filter your own trips, archived, trips, and more!
  • [Improved] The three dots menu on items now includes an archive option. This was previously in the menu on the dialog so it was hard to see. Now you can quickly archive places that you don’t want to delete, but you aren’t going to use (maybe a future trip!). You can show the archived places from the More settings menu on the trip.
  • [Fix] Entering an expense line item like 1,000 or 1.000 (one thousand) will now process and accumulate correctly in the budget panel depending on your locale. Previously, it only accepted numbers without separators like 1000 (thanks Lori!)
  • [Fix] Addressed an issue when deleting an image from a copy which would cause the image to be deleted from the original as well. (thanks Lori!)
  • [Fix] Delete from the three dots menu on the Timeline view was not working; this is fixed (thanks Lori!)
  • [Fix] Added support for 24h time format input (thanks u/nickilolk !).
    The textbox still shows the value in 12h format, but the time picker and UI elements now show the format based on your locale.
  • [Fix] Changed calculation of the budget/expenses so that it calculates based on the number of nights instead of days. For example, if you only add a stay to 1 day, it will calculate it as 1 night. If you set “+ Days” to 1, it will still calculate it as 1 night. If you set “+ Days” to 2, now it will calculate it as cost / 2 instead of cost / (2 + 1) (thanks Junaid!).

Story

  • [Improved] On desktop, the story now shows a larger featured image. Additionally, when there are a large number of images, the gallery will have paging for the additional images on both desktop and mobile

Did You Know

You can add media to your places by either:

  1. Uploading from your device
  2. Pasting a URL of an image (some sites may not allow grabbing the image this way, however!)
  3. Copying and pasting an image directly by using CTRL+C and CTRL+V (or CMD+C and CMD+V)

This is a great way to quickly build your story to share with friends and family!
